Who Were the Sons of Lord Krishna?

Some of the well-known sons of Krishna are:

1. Pradyumna

Born to Rukmini and lord Krishna, Pradyumna is the most widely known son of lord Krishna. He was abducted by Asur, Shambara, but was later rescued by Krishna. He had exceptional intelligence and a heart full of grit. 

He is believed to be the reincarnation of Kamadeva, the god of love. He was well-versed in warfare and archery and was one of the few people who knew the secret of chakravayhu. Pradyumna was also the one to teach Abhimanyu and Upapandavas combat skills.

2. Samba

Samba was lord Krishna’s son with his wife, Jambavati. He was notorious and caused a lot of chaos, brought a curse on the family, and ultimately, brought an end to the Yadu dynasty.

3. Kritavarna

Kritavarna was the adopted son of lord Krishna who played a significant role in Mahabharata as an ally to the Pandavas. He was a vigilant warrior and is known to be a noble and virtuous soul.

4. Annirudha

Aniruddha was the son of Pradyumna and Rukmavati and the grandchild of Krishna and Rukmini who is known for gallantry and often associated with the qualities of ferociousness, authority, and liberty. His is one of the most well-known love stories in Hindu mythology as he fell in love with and married the daughter of demon king Banasura, called Usha.

Who Were the Daughters of Lord Krishna?

Some of the well-known daughters of Krishna were:

1. Sushila

Sushila was one of Krishna’s daughters with his beloved wife, Rukmini. She was graceful, and elegant and was known for intelligence as well as her looks. She was married to a prince named Khandava. Later on, they both lived a beautiful life together.

2. Charumati

Lord Krishna and his wife Satyabhama had a beautiful daughter named Charumati. Later on, she performs marriage with a Yadava prince.

3. Bhadra

Lord Krishna and Jambavati had a daughter named, Bhadra. She is sometimes referred to as Bhadra Devi. Bhadra was married to Lord Duryodhana who was lord Krishna’s cousin and Pandavas’ rival in the epic, Mahabharata. She was known for her innate wisdom and intelligence.
